In August 2022, the China Siyuan Foundation, in partnership with the Seagulls Society, launched the "Inclusive Finance for the Underrepresented Farmers" charity initiative, aimed at securing farmers' incomes and supporting rural revitalization.
The project primarily focuses on raising funds to directly subsidize the agricultural insurance premiums for "farmers in need," bolster the infrastructure for rural industry revitalization, provide training and subsidies for grassroots promoters, offer scholarships to children of farmers in need, and organize diverse activities such as research expeditions by domestic and international university students and scholars to conduct local studies.
These efforts are designed to effectively assist farmers in distress to safeguard and increase their production, thereby enhancing their risk resilience in the agricultural product market.

Our Approaches
We initiative aims to benefit more farmers by subsidizing the insurance premiums for agricultural products for households in difficulty, granting subsidies to frontline rural cadres for the promotion and dissemination of risk resistance knowledge among farmers, and establishing scholarships for study and research. Its core objective is to help an increasing number of farmers to initially understand and utilize risk management tools available in the insurance market to safeguard agricultural income.
